Responsive Web – Device mix changing

With the trend in how IT used shifting towards mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets, it has been important to ensure that the Council maintains web content that is easy to access using these devices. The Council migrated to a responsive website in April 2014.
Whilst access to the site has been mainly from desktops (65.74%), mobile (19.88%) and Tablet (14.38%) access has grown, and the trend is that we will see this grow further.
We are continuing to look at improvements to the way that online services work. We recently updated the registration and sign in processes for the website and introduced a new online ‘myaccount’ for citizens.
